Welcome to Blessings...

Blessings by the Beach is a destination for play, rest, and rejuvenation. At Blessings, you have the best of both worlds. Situated on a Maple-lined street, Blessings is less than 30 seconds from Lake Michigan's beautiful sandy beach, which offers swimming, swings, almost endless walks on the beach, cliffs and dunes, a handicap accessible boardwalk, a fisherman's pier, a lighthouse and breath-taking sunsets. A couple of blocks the other direction and you are in town with restaurants, shops, biking, surreys, scooters, ice cream, coffee shops, a bakery, parks, antiques, a microbrewery and a movie theater.

Pippi Longstocking is the perpetual child-in-residence at Blessings, and she challenges you to live imperfectly with great delight! (Pippi thinks "perfect" is overrated...) She offers you a comfortable place to kick your shoes off and do something you haven't done in awhile. No need to bring a lot with you; we have beach towels, sand chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and floats.

We rent rooms most of the year and provide a full breakfast, served at 8:30 am every morning. Blessings is smoke-free. We have a very friendly small Labrador, Kia, who is affectionate and well behaved.

Frankfort, MI

Frankfort is a wonderful place to get away from it all and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. It is a place where there is no wrong way to do things, just the chance to be you for awhile. Given its unique location, you could arrive and never get back in the car since the beach, town, and bike paths are all very close. If you are the adventurous type, there are adventures waiting in every direction!

We are within 30 minutes of many lakes, rivers, towns, and resorts, including Crystal Lake, Glen Lake, Upper and Lower Herring Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain, Glen Arbor, Leland, the Platte River and the Betsie River. So pick your pleasure - biking? boating? fishing? kayaking? tubing? skiing? golfing? hiking? wine tasting? antiquing? Blessings is the perfect place to begin and end each day's adventure.

“You should stay here!”

Charming! Comfortable! Relaxing! Candace was a warm hostess who also intuitively knew when we wanted time to ourselves. Beach and main street was an easy walking distance and delightful. We had great options during our two days in the area, from kayaking to window shopping to the beach to relaxing on the front porch with a glass of wine.

“An Oasis of Serenity!!”

Blessings by the Beach is the epitome of relaxing, inviting beachfront chic!! Candace is such a great hostess, and the house offers an atmosphere of serenity while not being 'stuffy' in the least!! The location to the beach and business district is so convenient that a car is an afterthought!! Candace has been meticulous in every detail, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and we could not have had a better experience in Frankfort... Hope to return again soon, and would recommend to anyone looking for great Frankfort tranquility!!

“A Real Blessing”

My husband and I have stayed in B & B's for many years and this is at the very top of the list. Blessings [by] the Beach is such a peaceful and tranquil environment. The B & B is absolutely spotless. Candace outranks in the realm of hospitality. We had delicious breakfasts which she had set up on the beautiful wrap around front porch. Our bedroom was beautiful and large and right on the first floor. We had lots of fun with her "angel" of a dog named Kia. You walk right out the front door and turn left and just a block is the beautiful beach and lighthouse. We highly recommend you try Blessings on the Beach for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

“It's Everything That They Say...”

Candace could not have made our stay more enjoyable! While Blessings has the charm of a cottage, it is much bigger and very, very cozy! The decorations are done with exquisite taste, but the whole "feel" of it is non-pretentious, relaxed and inviting. Candace made me a special gluten free breakfast quiche that was out of this world...her grandmother's recipe tweaked to be GF. Served with fresh fruit and delicious coffee (we are coffee snobs) it was part of a perfect meal and just the right amount! I will truly miss her well-behaved and super friendly dog (Kia) and hope to come back again for another visit! You won't be disappointed!
